Rebuild exists to create space for the senior leader who carries the weight of the organisation, to find healing, peace and restoration.

Why we exist:

Rebuild is an organisation that is intentional on facilitating restoration, repair and healing for leaders who are exhausted or in transition or in crisis. The charity runs retreat opportunities for leaders who are senior leaders of churches or charities which are either overtly Christian or if they are not, they have Isaiah 61 & 58 at the heart of them.

The leader who leads a project, church or resource which exists to heal the heartbroken, ‘restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community liveable again’ (Isaiah 58:12) can apply to join in one of the projects that aim to facilitate their healing and recovery from the relentless demands of their work.

In these challenging years to live in, we recognise that the leaders role is often not understood by those who are involved in the organisations that they lead. The financial, friendship, staffing, legal and spiritual challenges that seem to be the normal territory of a leader can seem relentless and a ‘holiday’ away from work isn’t often adequate to facilitate restoration from the exhaustion and overwhelming demands of the role.

We want to stand with you and see the promises from God be fulfilled in your life and the life of your family.

If you are generous with the hungry and start giving yourselves to the down-and-out, Your lives will begin to glow in the darkness, your shadowed lives will be bathed in sunlight. I will always show you where to go. I’ll give you a full life in the emptiest of places— firm muscles, strong bones. You’ll be like a well-watered garden, a gurgling spring that never runs dry.

You’ll use the old rubble of past lives to build anew, rebuild the foundations from out of your past. You’ll be known as those who can fix anything, restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community liveable again.
— Isaiah 58:9-12

There are four different streams of help for the leaders:

1.     Bespoke retreats for healing and restoration.

2.     Retreats as ‘bolt on’ days to annual conferences in Bath for men (November), women (March), leaders  (Sept/Oct) & families (May).

3.     Leadership Intensive Rebuild: a combination of coaching, prayer ministry, trauma therapy and teaching designed especially for a leader who is in crisis and their families.

4.     Collective retreats where the emphasis is more on the shared experiences and shared challenges that can lead to positive peer relationships.
